What is the Google Play Console?

Definition

The Google Play Console is Google’s platform for developers to publish Android apps on Google Play and manage releases, store listings, testing, statistics and reviews.

What you do in the Play Console

A one-time registration fee is required to create a developer account. New personal developer accounts also have to run a closed test with a minimum number of testers before they can publish to production — see beta testing.

Reviews in the Play Console

Reviews can be filtered by language, country, rating and app version. If you'd rather see each new review the moment it arrives, send them to a team channel — see Google Play reviews in Slack.

The iOS counterpart is App Store Connect.
